Is The Hunger Games movie based on all three books or just the first one?

The Hunger Games movie is based on only the first book in the series. A movie for the second book, Catching Fire, will begin pre-production once The Hunger Games has been released and will be out in November 2013. There are talks to split Mockingjay into two movies, but that’s a little while away at the moment.

Oh my god you met Josh Hutcherson/WHAT WAS IT LIKE MEETING JOSH/did you touch his jaw/anything along those lines

Yes, I was fortunate enough to meet Josh Hutcherson! It was at the premiere for his movie Journey 2 in Melbourne in January. He came down the red carpet and signed some stuff and posed for a couple of photos for me and it was truly amazing. You can read more about that experience, including photos, here.

(And I didn’t touch his jaw, unfortunately… that would have been a bit weird I think)

Which is your favourite book in the series/who is your favourite character?

My favourite book is Catching Fire (although I love them all for different reasons) and my favourite character is Katniss because I think she’s an amazing role model and a very real character.

Will you check out my blog/follow me back?

I used to happily follow back any Hunger Games blogs that asked, but recently, the number of requests I have had for this has been very high, and I’m afraid that I just have to say no. I’m sorry. I already follow more blogs than I should, and my dash is already way too clogged, so I just can’t keep doing this. There is a good chance though that if you are in the fandom, I will see/follow your blog at some point, because I will inadvertently find it through someone else’s reblogging or messaging.

Will you promo me?

This I don’t mind doing so much. If you would like a promo, just send me a message explaining so, and I will happily publish the message for you, as a shout out so others can check out your blog. I won’t write out a proper text-post-promo though, because I do those very rarely and only for my very favourite blogs. But if you put it in a message, I will publish it for you :)

Generally, I don’t mind answering questions related to the fandom/news. But please, please, could you have a quick look yourself before asking me this question. Often, if you just scroll back a page or two on my blog, I will have reblogged it. Otherwise, try any of the fansites, they are very likely to have posted it (my favourite fansites are Down With The Capitol and Mockingjay.net, check them out if you haven’t already). Try Youtube or even Google. And if you still can’t find it, then I am happy to help you out.

I’m sorry if that sounds bitchy but the truth is, I’m very busy. And most of the time when people ask me these questions, I don’t have links saved - and so I am the one who has to search the fansites/youtube. It doesn’t make much sense for me to do exactly what you could have done yourself.

Why haven’t you replied to my ask/why are you such a bitch/why are you ignoring me?!

Like I said before, I’m busy. I love getting messages from people, I truly do, but sometimes I just don’t have a lot of spare time to answer them. I never ignore messages I get, so if I haven’t replied, tumblr either ate it (which is highly likely, especially because I have a really terrible internet connection) or I haven’t had a moment to answer it. But I will, I promise. It might take me a while, but I will always reply.

The thing is, I like giving reasonably-sized replies, not just one or two words - because if you’ve taken the time to message me, I want to show you I appreciate that and have taken the time to answer you properly. But please don’t get upset with me for taking a while to answer you, it isn’t my fault, I’m doing my final year of high school and have taken on an extra subject from everyone else, and I have a part-time job and lots of other stuff outside school so yeah, my life is quite stressful and busy at the moment. I’ll try to get back to you within a couple of days max, but that’s the most I can promise.
